Warner Brothers to launch 'Game of Thrones' NFT collection

The film company Warner Brothers will launch an NFT collection based on Game of Thrones.

Hollywood film studio Warner Bros. in collaboration with trading platform Nifty’s, will launch a collection of gaming non-fungible tokens based on the theme of the popular series.

According to Nifty's management, the designtokens are handled by an artist using the pseudonym Daz 3D. He previously worked on CloneX collections, the RTFKT project, and the Coca Cola NFT with Friendship Box. The Game of Thrones collection will be called Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm and will be available this winter to users in North America and Europe.

Token owners will be able to create avatars onbased on the characters and the universe of the series, as well as use virtual weapons and additional game items. Project participants will also be able to select comrades for their team, change the location and characters at will, creating their own kingdom. Director of NFT Business Development at Warner Bros. Discovery's Josh Hackbarth said the launch of these collectible tokens aims to give fans of the series a new way to interact with their favorite characters. This will allow you to dive even deeper into the Game of Thrones universe.

Warner Brothers recently announced a partnershipwith the company Eluvio to launch an NFT dedicated to the film “The Lord of the Rings”. Last year, the Marvel media empire also announced the launch of collectible tokens with characters from comics and films. Actor Anthony Hopkins did not stay away from NFTs either. In October, a collection of tokens dedicated to characters from his filmography sold out in less than 10 minutes.
