University of Hong Kong Launches Masters of Science Course in Blockchain

Hong Kong Polytechnic Universitypresented a training course for preparing masters of science in the field of blockchain “Master of Science in Blockchain Technology”. This is the first course of its kind in the city.

The course is intended for undergraduate graduatesin computer technology, mathematics and other related disciplines, as well as blockchain professionals. When studying full-time, a Master of Science degree can be obtained in a year, and when studying part-time, the course lasts 2 years. Tuition costs approximately $40,000.

“The training program is designed forprofessionals in the field of blockchain and related technologies. The course will allow you to analyze and design, implement and evaluate systems, products and services. Key technologies and applications in the field of fintech are covered, including security, regulation and compliance with regulatory requirements,” the university’s website emphasizes.

Let us note that in Russia attention is also paidtraining in cryptocurrencies and blockchain. For example, Sber University together with the Sber blockchain laboratory launched an educational program to study the basics of decentralized finance (DeFi).
