Uniswap announces the launch of NFT trading

Uniswap Labs, a startup of the decentralized exchange of the same name, has launched support for non-fungible tokens based on the NFT aggregator Genie.

The company has announced that by listing both digital economies on a decentralized exchange (DEX), it plans toBridging the gap between crypto exchanges and non-fungible token marketplaces:

"NFT tokens and ERC-20 exist as two separate ecosystems in crypto, but both are essential for the growth of the digital economy.Launching NFTs on Uniswap is our first step in creating a more functional experience between the two."

The Uniswap team claims that users will now be able to trade NFTs on a variety of platforms, including OpenSea and LooksRare, with gas fees reduced to 15%.Users of the Genie aggregator will receive special privileges, including a free distribution of the Circle USDC stablecoin between them, which will last for 12 months.The first 22,000 new users to buy NFTs on the DEX are promised a gas discount of 0.01 ether. 

Decentralized finance platform Uniswap bought NFT Genie aggregator in October.Last week, Uniswap announced in a new privacy policy that it collects data related to customers' crypto wallets on and off the blockchain.
