UNICEF will start accepting cryptocurrency

UNICEF has become the first UN organization to accept donations in cryptocurrency.

RecentlyUnited Nations Children's Fund(UNICEF) announced that it will accept, spend and store donations in bitcoins and on air. By creating its new cryptocurrency fund, UNICEF becomes the first UN organization that performs operations with cryptocurrency.

Henrietta Foret, Executive Director of UNICEF, commented on this initiative as follows:
