Ukrainian officials declare 75 billion hryvnia in cryptocurrency

652 Ukrainian officials declared 46,351 bitcoins totaling more than 75 million hryvnia.

In the top fivelargest holders of the Dnieper deputyCity Council Vyacheslav Mishalov. He indicated 18,000 BTC (more than $1 billion). An employee of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Petr Lensky, together with his wife, declared 6 528 VTS. 

People's Deputies Alexander and Anatoly Urbansky have declared 5328 and 4256 MTC respectively for three years in a row.

Government officials prefer to invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.

Cryptocurrencies in Ukraine do not have legal status.Tax authorities have no way to trace the origin of coins. This increases the risk of abuse and money laundering by officials. Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov wrote in his Telegram channel:

Either they fantasized them in order to then justify their cash and whiten their money, or we have more progressive and far-sighted investors than we thought
