UK Post will start selling cryptocurrency

Purchasing digital assets will only be available to users of the EasyID app that has been launchedby the British Postal Service in August.

Post offices in the UK from the followingweeks will start selling cryptocurrency using vouchers of the decentralized crypto exchange Swarm Markets, reports CoinDesk. Residents of the UK will be able to buy vouchers and then activate them on the trading platform, exchanging them for Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Only users of the EasyID identity verification application, which was launched by the British Postal Service in August this year, will be able to purchase digital assets.

In 2019, postage began trading bitcoin.Liechtenstein service. When buying digital coins, residents of the European republic receive a physical wallet with encryption keys. In 2020, sales of the first cryptocurrency started in more than 3.5 thousand post offices in Australia.
