U.S. Army begins to search for crypto criminals

US Army Contracting Command New Jerseyopened a competition for the development of software for tracking cryptocurrency transactions. With its help, the military wants to find cryptocriminals.

As Cointelegraph reports, analytics software fortracking cryptocurrency transactions is intended for the US Army Criminal Investigation Division. Supposedly it should help in the investigation of criminal cases and “other operations.” 

The terms of the competition say that the developmentshould be based on cloud technology and online services. The main purpose of the software is to help the military identify crypto criminals who engage in fraud, extortion and money laundering through cryptocurrencies.

  • According to the selection conditions, the software must providethe ability to track transactions in BTC and other cryptocurrencies in real time. The program must also determine associated addresses and identify both senders and recipients of cryptocurrency
