Twitter will add the ability to buy and sell NFTs through tweets

Social network Twitter said it will add a new feature allowing users to buy, sell and display non-fungible tokens (NFT) directly through tweets.

To achieve this, the company entered into a partnership withfour trading platforms. The new feature is called NFT Tweet Tiles - it will display an image of the NFT in a special panel in a tweet, which, when clicked, will redirect the user to the item's page on the marketplace.

Twitter has entered into a partnership withplatforms like NFT Rarible, Magic Eden platform powered by Solana, Flow Dapper Labs and sports-focused platform Jump.trade. In general, all these platforms cover several blockchain networks: Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Tezos, Flow and Immutable X.

NFT Tweet Tiles will not be strictly tied tothese blockchains, so if an NFT from a partner platform is attached to a tweet, it will also be displayed. However, a Twitter Blue premium subscription is not required to use the feature. NFT Tweet Tiles are currently being tested by users on iOS and desktop versions.

Previously, Reuters news agencypublished the results of an internal Twitter study, according to which English-speaking users are mainly attracted to the topic of cryptocurrencies and adult content.
