According to OFAC, since the creation of the mixer in 2019This year, with its help, attackers laundered cryptocurrency worth more than $7 billion. Over $455 million of this was associated with the activities of the North Korean hacker group Lazarus Group. 

Circle soon blacklisted the USDC addresses of Tornado Cash wallets. Infura and Alchemy infrastructure platforms blocked RPC requests to the mixing service.
