Several major cryptocurrency exchanges are interested in starting official work in Ukraine. This was stated byChairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Association of Venture and Private Capital (UVCA) Andrey Kolodyuk at the RE: THINK forum. Invest in Ukraine, Interfax reports.

"Over the past 2.5 years, three global cryptocurrency exchanges have asked me to make it possible for them to work in Ukraine legally: register, obtain a license, open a representative office.I am interested in two things: a license and a bank that makes hryvnia-crypto transactions and vice versa,"Kolodyuk said.

However, what kind of sites in question, the representative of UVCA did not specify.

According to him, now the country is starting to create conditions for the development of the cryptocurrency market:

"I am glad that this process has begun. So far, Ukraine is not visible on this map - there are Belarus, Malta, Singaporeand other jurisdictions that are trying to create favorable conditions for conducting cryptocurrency business. But I believe that it is high time for us to position Ukraine as a friendly place for experiments related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain."

Recall earlier this month in Ukrainepresented bills on the taxation of cryptocurrency transactions and anti-money laundering using digital assets, as well as amendments to the document “On public electronic registries” aimed at introducing blockchain.

In October, the Verkhovna Rada also signed a memorandum on regulating blockchain technology.

In addition, the Blockchain Ukraine Association presented a project to create a crypto valley.
