The Duma proposed to imprison for illegal trafficking of crypto assets
Deputies proposed introducing fines of up to 2million rubles and criminal liability of up to 7 years for trafficking in digital financial assets and currencies.

“Article 187.1. Organization of illegal trafficking of digital rights
1. Carrying out activities to provide services aimed at
ensuring the release and (or) circulation of obligations and other rights,
the content and conditions for implementation of which are determined in accordance with
with the rules of an information system that does not meet the established
according to the law, using objects of Russian information
infrastructure, if these acts caused major damage to citizens,
organizations or the state or are associated with the extraction of income in
large size, –
shall be punished by a fine in the amount of five hundred thousand to one
million rubles or in the amount of wages or other income
convicted for a period of one to two years or imprisonment
for a term of up to four years with a fine of up to five hundred thousand rubles or
the amount of wages or other income of the convicted person for the period up to
one year or without it.
2. The same acts that caused especially large damage or entailed
generating income on a particularly large scale, –
shall be punished by forced labor for up to five years or
imprisonment for a term of up to seven years with a fine of up to one
million rubles or in the amount of wages or other income
convicted for a period of up to five years or without it.
