The bill on taxation of transactions with cryptocurrencies may be adopted in the fall, the head of the committee saidState Duma of the Russian Federation for the financial market Anatoly Aksakov during the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg (SPIEF).
He noted that the draft law was planned to be adopted in the spring session, but "the discussions did not allow this work to be completed."
Earlier Aksakov said that the considerationThe bill is moving slowly due to disputes that have arisen “about essential categories.” Prior to this, the media reported that discussions around the document arose between the Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Finance.
Aksakov added that the bill could be supplemented with taxation of digital financial assets (DFAs).
General Director of Interros SergeyBatekhin noted that without the adoption of amendments to the legislation concerning the taxation of the CFA, the business will not be able to fully launch the tokenization of assets.
