The State Duma of the Russian Federation will adopt a law on cryptocurrency and blockchain in March

The State Duma may approve the law on digital financial assets in March. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference tohead of the financial market committee Anatoly Aksakov.

Aksakov emphasized that the adoption of the law was still hindered by disagreements between the Central Bank and the "competent authorities."

“Unfortunately, until recently, disagreements could not be settled. There was another meeting last week, it seems that we agreed on the positions ”- he added.

According to him, the next version of the text of the document is being prepared, which will then be sent to the relevant authorities for approval.

“If this text after mailing is relevantinstitutions, the Central Bank and the competent authorities, legal management will support, then in March, I believe, we can come up with such a bill for consideration in the second, third readings ”- he declared.

Aksakov previously reported that with a large shareprobability the law will be adopted in the spring session. It regulates the issuance, accounting and circulation of digital tokens and is expected to allow Russian companies to start using blockchain technology to organize sales of their goods, primarily raw materials, abroad.

Prior to this, it was assumed that the bill would be adopted by November 1, 2019. Its consideration has been going on for about two years.
