The personal data of 6.5 million Israelis were in the public domain

On the website of an election app promoted by the prime minister and his Likud party,a serious mistake that led to the disclosure of personal data of 6.5 million Israeli voters.

The Elector website does not protect the voter register in any way, containing full names, addresses, ID numbers and mobile phones.

Verizon Media, an Israeli privacy agency, reported the incident, discovering an enormous amount of insecure data during an Elector security audit.
