The number of subreddit subreddit r / Bitcoin set a record

Perhaps the clearest indicator of the growing interest in Bitcoin is the r/Bitcoin subreddit. Forum communitygrew by 100,000 people in one day.

Metrics For Reddit data shows that over 200,000 new members have signed up to the forum in the past week alone. The total number of users in the group has already exceeded 2.2 million.

A wave of subscribers also swept through other cryptocurrency subreddits: r / Ethereum attracted 40,000 new supporters, and 400,000 people joined r / Ethtrader.

The past week was full of events on the crypto market.

Following the liquidation of hedge funds and subsequent asset freeze on Robinhood, retail traders are switching to cryptocurrency.

On Friday, January 29, an influx of new usersto major exchanges – Coinbase, Kraken and Binance – led to a slowdown and halt in cryptocurrency trading. Companies have not been able to keep up with the demand and growing interest in this area.

This was followed by a Dogecoin pump, with a rise of 300% in a day. 

And, of course, Elon Musk, who added “Bitcoin” to the Twitter header, which could attract many investors who had not previously considered cryptocurrency as an investment option.
