The Minister of Finances of Ukraine will act on a fast approach to cryptocurrencies

In an interview with local media, the recently appointed Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergei Marchenko stated that the Ministry of DigitalTransformation of the country wants to regulate the cryptocurrency market, noting that the cryptocurrency can become a global currency for settlements in the future.

«Cryptocurrency is a promising story.The only problem is that I don’t fully understand how cryptocurrency support is provided. [Support] is provided only by the virtual demand of various industry players, and this is not related to the economy, production, assets or capital. Unlike stocks, bonds or derivatives, which are supported by collateral assets, [cryptocurrency] is not an asset in its pure form,” the minister said.
