The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) discovered a mining farm in the former warehouse of JSC Vinnitsaoblenergo, which consisted of almost 5 thousand ASIC units.
Illegally connected to power gridsResidents of Kyiv and Vinnitsa are suspected. The identification of the full circle of those involved in the crime continues. The department does not exclude the participation of officials in the scheme.
According to the SBU, the scale of illegal electricity consumption is estimated at up to 7 million hryvnia monthly. Such a volume of consumption could lead to the blackout of entire city blocks.
Based on the facts discovered, criminal proceedings have been opened, and investigative measures continue.
