The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the ministers to create favorable conditions for a digital ecosystem that absorbscryptocurrencies and digital assets.
This instruction was issued at the summit of the financial sector, held at the Astana International Financial Center. A number of companies related to cryptocurrency and mining are already operating in the state center.
A number of high-ranking representatives of the local and foreign financial sector with private and state ownership took part in the summit.
A month earlier, President Tokaev met inNur-Sultan with the CEO of the Binance crypto exchange Changpeng Zhao, after which a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry.
The parties discussed the prospects for long-term cooperation in the field of digital finance and agreed to launch joint educational programs to acquaint citizens with blockchain technology.
