Most of the affected nodes recovered safely and did not require a network restart. It appears that this was caused by a temporary anomaly that caused some nodes to disconnect from the network and others to restart,” said DIGI staking pool owner Rick McCracken.

At the time of publication, the cause of the anomaly was not determined. The developers are investigating the situation and adding special logging procedures.

It was previously reported that the total volume of assets blocked in the Cardano network increased by 30% in the first ten days of January.
