The 11th stream of the advanced training program “Blockchain for Lawyers” starts

November 18, 2019 at the Russian Economic University named after G.V.Plekhanov will begin training for the 11th stream of the BCL program “Legal foundations and legal practices of working with digital rights and assets, as well as blockchain projects.”

At the first stage, course students learntechnological foundations of smart contracts, blockchain, digital assets and cryptocurrency mining. Theoretical knowledge is consolidated at a practical seminar, during which students will independently create a decentralized autonomous organization. Also in this block we will considerapplication of blockchain technologies as exemplified by Bitfury, Waves and Biocoin.

The legal part of the program studies the legalaspects of the topic, consider Russian bills, laws and regulations. In the second block, they study civil, corporate, tax and criminal law, as well as existing judicial and law enforcement practice.

Legal practice takes place in the formbusiness games and gaming litigation. Students take part in a round table in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, can develop their own amendments to regulations and discuss them with a senator of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

BCL faculty members include entrepreneurs, government officials, technical experts, and practicing lawyers.

Upon completion of training, students becomemembers of the BCL Digital Economy Law Society, are given the opportunity to participate in writing and publishing materials in relevant BCL media and events.

As a result of the program, BCL graduates will be able toto develop a full range of legal services for digital business. Students of the BCL program are awarded a certificate of advanced training at the G.V. Plekhanov.
