The Telegram Open Network (TON) development team commented on the SEC's injunction in its letter to investors.
INthe letter indicates that the TON team is activeinteracted and collaborated with the Securities Commission during the 18 months of developing the platform, and also received feedback on its blockchain from the regulator. Thus, according to the team, the SEC decision is extremely unexpected. The letter indicates:
We were surprised and disappointed that in these circumstances, SEC representatives decided to go to court, and we do not agree with the legal position of the commission.
At the moment, developers, together with lawyers and consultants, are looking for a way out of this situation. In the letter they inform:
We continue to work to solve this problem as soon as possible, while respecting the interests of all investors, but not excluding the possibility of postponing the launch date.
As previously reported, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has received a temporary court order that prohibits Telegram from distributing and selling Gram tokens in the United States.
