Telefonica will provide access to its blockchain for 8,000 companies

Spanish telecommunications giant Telefonica has entered into an agreement with the local AssociationScience and Technology Parks (APTE), which will provide access to its blockchain to 8,000 companies.

Telefonica will install its blockchain nodes onHyperledger base in 52 technology parks. Within 3 months, companies will be able to develop and distribute applications on the Telefonica blockchain, as well as experiment with their own tokens.

“Companies located in thesescience and technology parks will be able to win, taking advantage of the blockchain. They will not need to face the difficulties of developing their own blockchain and allocate the appropriate resources for this, ”said Maria Jesus Almazor, Telefonica CEO.
