Sweden calls on Ukraine to take action against fraudsters Milton Group

The Swedish government demands decisive action from Ukraine aimed at stopping the activitiesKiev investment company, which stole millions of dollars from residents of different countries.

Recently the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN)conducted an investigation based on materials from an informant from the Ukrainian company Milton Group. Reporters managed to uncover a fraudulent scheme, whose participants deceived more than a thousand pensioners around the world by offering quick profits on investments in stocks and cryptocurrencies. In addition, after establishing a connection with the victims, the scammers installed malware on their computer and gained access to all financial documents, thanks to which they could take out loans on behalf of the victims.

Some of the victims lost up to $ 200,000, and one woman was forced to sell her house in order to pay off her debts.

During a meeting with senior officials in Ukraine, Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde called the Milton Group an “industrial-scale fraud”.

It is very disappointing to see how deceived Swedish pensioners leave their homes and live on a living wage while scammers enjoy huge profits.

Linde noted that this information shouldget widespread in the Ukrainian media and attract the attention of not only Ukrainian but also the world community. At the moment, top Ukrainian media do not cover this topic, and law enforcement agencies do not respond to the charges against Milton Group.
