STEPN integrates Apple Pay for in-app purchases

The team behind the cryptocurrency M2E project STEPN announced that it will integrate Apple Pay and allow users to buy NFT sneakers through this payment service.

STEPN became the first gaming application onblockchain, which integrates with Apple Pay. Representatives of the project explained that the integration will allow users to buy NFT sneakers through the payment service: 

“Users will not need a cryptocurrency wallet to purchase NFT sneakers from STEPN. They can simply use Apple Pay to make a fast, private and secure purchase.”

Co-founder of Find Satoshi Lab, a company collaborating with STEPN, Yawn Rong, believes that integration opens up a new audience, making Web3 more accessible to the masses. 

“We believe this is an important step towards bringing the next 100 million users into Web3 technology,” the businessman said.

According to Dune Analytics, at its peakdevelopment in May 2022, the number of active users of STEPN exceeded 705,000 people. A year later, the number of monthly users is just under 30,000.

Earlier in May, Apple allowed the developer of the popular NFT game Axie Infinity Sky Mavis to list it on the App Store for Latin America and Southeast Asia.
