State-owned mining farms launched in Pakistan

The Pakistani authorities have decided to engage in crypto mining. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recently launched twostate-owned mining farms, according to local newspaper BOLNews.

If Pakistan's neighbor is Iran,On the contrary, it increases pressure on miners and forces them to obtain licenses and pay taxes, then Pakistan itself decided to make money from Bitcoin mining. This is one of the few cases in the world when the state itself begins to mine cryptocurrency, journalists note.

Information Technology Minister's advisor Ziaullah Bangash said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government had decided to open farms with the support of the Pakistani central government.

In addition, regional officials allowedlocal residents become miners without fear of harassment by law enforcement agencies. For the first time, Pakistani officials announced their intention to legalize mining last year.

The expert community supported this decision. In parallel, the authorities announced the adoption of legislation on the legalization of cryptocurrencies.
