Payment platform Fold has announced the addition of the ability to book Airbnb accommodations using Bitcoin via LightningNetwork Fold users will be able to receive a cashback of up to 3% in BTC for each reservation.
Airbnb is now included in the Fold rewards programKickbacks. The program supports payment with Bitcoin through the Lightning Network and the purchase of gift cards for the purchase of goods and services for BTC with a 3% cashback. Fold currently offers $25 and $100 gift cards on its website.
Moreover, the payment platform only works inindividual countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Mexico, and the UK, depending on the particular brand with which it collaborates. The company expects to launch service in Europe in the near future.
In July, startup Fold opened Bitcoin paymentsvia the Lightning Network at Starbucks and Whole Foods. Previously, the company introduced Lightning Pizza — service for ordering Domino's pizza for bitcoins using the Lightning Network.
