Aeronautics company Ilona Mask SpaceX has begun the construction of 50-meter Starship stainless steel rockets.
Next generation rockets will be equipped with threeRaptor engines creating a thrust of 12 MN. They are designed to transport large loads, as well as transport people into space for flights to the Moon, Mars and beyond.
After the project for Starship Mk 2 was submitted last month and the preliminary deadlines for the ship to enter orbit were announced, the company began installing three rockets.
Aerial video shows glittering towers made ofstainless steel that will become rocket bodies. On the ground are also visible stacked sets of rings, prepared for installation.
In addition to these two missiles, the company is creating another one at its Texas base in Boca Chica.
Earlier during the presentation of the Starship projectSpaceX CEO Elon Musk said that suborbital testing of the Mk 2 version should take place in the next couple of months. If they are successful, construction of the Mk 3 will begin immediately.
