The research team introduced a solid-state device for high-precision storage of quantum information, which could become the basis of the next generation Internet.

Scientists from the University of Science and Technology of Chinadeveloped a new quantum memory device using femtosecond laser microprocessing technology, which was used to etch optical waveguides in yttrium silicate crystals.

They immediately created two types of optical quantum storage circuits, with a confidence level of more than 99% and 97%, respectively.

INFurther, such devices can be used to combat signal scattering, increase the distance of quantum communication, and integrate quantum computing into various systems.
