A team of researchers has developed a device that allows you to receive images that occur inside living cells in real time.

Before for one such shot in the laboratoryit could take half an hour, but processes like DNA coding and protein assembly happen instantly. Scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai have found a solution to this problem by combining two technologies in one detector.

The created camera registers photons and light particles emanating directly from the target and reflected from it. This is the way visualization allows you to get a complete image of the object, even if the light detector can capture only a small amount of radiation.

However, since photons are waves, the resolution of such a survey is limited to 200 nanometers. To overcome this barrier, the team used ultra-high resolution microscopy technology.

In fact, they combined two devices into onesystem, and increased the number of single-pixel sensors so that a clear image can be obtained in one frame. To increase the clarity of images, scientists installed a computer-controlled phase modulator in front of the light detector to generate clearer characteristics.

Scientists have created a camera that can show what is happening in our cells.

During the experiments, they were able to take a photograph with a resolution of 80 nm in one frame and a resolution of 60 nm in 10 frames, finding that it takes only one thousandth of a second for each picture.

Not only cameras are becoming more sophisticatedfor studying nanoobjects, but also for long-distance shooting. Previously, engineers introduced an active optical system that is capable of shooting objects at a distance of 45 km, even through smog.
