Sam Bankman-Fried: “I have nothing to do with the withdrawal of funds from Alameda wallets.”

Co-founder and former CEOFTX exchange director Sam Bankman-Fried said he was not involved in the movements of funds withdrawn from Alameda Research wallets after his release from prison on bail.

The cryptocurrency community noticed the conclusionfunds from Alameda Research wallets on December 27 and 28. This happened immediately after Sam Bankman-Fried was released from prison on bail, so it is not surprising that suspicion fell on him.

However, according to Bankman-Fried, he does not have access to wallets. In addition, bail conditions limit the ability of the FTX co-founder to conduct large monetary transactions.

“I did not carry out these transactions. I did not and could not withdraw funds, I simply do not have access to them,” wrote the FTX co-founder accused of fraud.

Recall that the nature of transactions is ratherindicates an insider with access to wallets rather than a hacker. More than 600 ETH were withdrawn to an unidentified address, then some of them were exchanged for Tether USD stablecoins, and the remaining funds were used to purchase bitcoins through the ChangeNow exchange.
