Russian woman lost 737 thousand rubles after installing the "application for cryptocurrency trading"

41-year-old resident of Sol-Iletsk was the victim of a fraudulent website advertising brokerage services for cryptocurrency trading. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Orenburg region.

Woman interested in announcingCryptocurrency Profit Opportunities. She registered on the “cryptocurrency exchange”, after which a person who introduced himself as a “broker” contacted her.

Allegedly, to provide his services, he asked a Russian woman to install two applications that provide remote access to her phone.

When the victim entered the bank card number on the site, the “broker” stole 737 thousand rubles from her.

Opened fraud proceedings. Attackers face up to 6 years in prison.

Earlier, an Irkutsk citizen lost 850 thousand rubles in a “cryptocurrency transaction.”
