At the International Exhibition "Road 2019" Research Center "Gazprom Neft" presented the development of a bitumen material whose strength is 20 times higher than its analogues.
Achieve such indicators for specialists"Gazprom Neft" succeeded through the development of a new composition capable of penetrating cracks. The new material binds the components of the asphalt concrete mixture, forming a protective layer on the road surface.
The protective and restorative composition is applied to the road using a mobile mechanized complex.The coating has already been tested on the roads of Smolensk and Leningrad regions, as well as St. Petersburg. It is expected that the technology will be applied on all Russian roads.
Ready material is transported tocloverteiners, special cube-shaped containers. This packaging is convenient for long-term storage in warehouses. The initial characteristics of bitumen do not change throughout the year, which is important for repairing roads in remote regions.
The main damage to Russian roads is caused by heavy diesel trucks, the engine of which can become more efficient with a new development by engineers from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
