Russian roads will become stronger with the new bitumen development of Gazprom Neft

At the International exhibition "Road 2019", the Gazprom Neft Research Center presented the development of bitumen material, the strength of which is 20 times higher than its analogues.

Achieve such indicators for Gazprom specialistsoil ”was possible due to the development of a new composition that can penetrate into cracks. The new material binds the components of the asphalt mix, forming a protective layer on the surface of the road.

The protective and restorative compound lays on the road with the help of a mobile mechanized complex. The coating has already been tested on the roads of Smolensk and Leningrad regions, as well as St. Petersburg. It is expected that the technology will be applied on all Russian roads.

Finished material is transported toclovers, special containers of a cuboid shape. Such packaging is convenient for long-term storage in warehouses. The initial characteristics of bitumen do not change throughout the year, which is important for road repair in remote regions.

The main damage to Russian roads is caused by heavy diesel trucks, the engine of which can become more efficient with the new development of engineers from the Valencia Polytechnic University.
