Russian police close access to four darknet sites

Law enforcement operation allowed to close four darknet markets specializing in theft and salecredit cards.

According to Flashpoint, the operation was organized by Directorate “K” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, which deals mainly with cybercrimes. 

Domains from which trading platforms were operatedfor card fraud – Ferum Shop, Sky-Fraud, Trump's Dumps and UAS – locked down. A warning has been built into the HTML source code.

At the same time, law enforcement officers were able to gain access to the entire content management infrastructure. According to investigators, all four sites were controlled by the same hacker group.

According to Elliptic analysts, in total, more than 13 million bank cards worth $654.9 million passed through these sites. Since October 2013, the Ferum store has been enriched by $256 million.

UAS Store, a popular seller of stolen credentialsdata, operating since 2017, has received about $3 million in cryptocurrency, and Trump's Dumps card store has earned about $4.1 million since the store opened in October 2017.

This is the third operation that the police strikeon cybercriminal groups since the beginning of the year. It all started with the arrests of 14 members of the REvil ransomware gang responsible for numerous cyber attacks around the world.

Then, on January 25, the FSB arrested AndreiSergeevich Novak, the alleged leader of a now-defunct fraudulent organization that engaged in the large-scale acquisition, sale and distribution of stolen personal data.
