Izvestia writes about this with reference to a letter signed by Vladimir Potanin, Chairman of the Board of Nornickel.

Industrialists explained their motivationthe desire to issue their own tokens in order to reduce dependence on settlements in traditional currencies. According to the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the draft law “On Digital Financial Assets” currently being worked out is insufficient for the practical implementation of initiatives on the blockchain.

Bill Coordination DirectorThe activities of the Center for Digital Development of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Alexander Suraev, said that in response to an appeal from entrepreneurs, a resolution was issued that could indicate that the president supported their request. He also noted that the large business within the RSPP is already ready to work with digital tokens at the technical level, but cannot do this due to the lack of regulation.

“In the future, Russian enterprises will be able toissue, and investors acquire, for example, “gas”, “oil”, “metal” tokens, which will become a promising source of capital, ”the publication says.

Recall, earlier Deputy Finance Minister AlexeiMoiseev warned that the bill on digital assets will not be adopted this year due to comments. Previously, it was assumed that all procedures for consideration and approval of the document will be completed before November 1.
