One of the biggestCoca-Cola makers in Asia Pacific Coca-Cola Amatil, in partnership with digital payments integrator Centrapay, will begin selling drinks for cryptocurrency.
</p>It will be possible to buy Coca-Cola using a QR code through the Sylo Smart Wallet application in more than 2,000 vending machines. Residents of Australia and New Zealand will be able to use the service.
Centrapay believes digital asset transactions are an ideal solution in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, as they minimize the need for cash and physical contacts.
In the future, Centrapay plans to expand into the American market — the company has already opened a representative office in North America.
As a reminder, last year it became known that Coca-Cola is using blockchain to track supply chains.
