Representatives of 44 countries to discuss Bitcoin-related issues in El Salvador

32 heads of central banks and 12 heads of financial institutions will visit the Central American country. Onagenda: digital economy, serving people without access to banking services and the introduction of BTC.

On Monday, May 16, representatives of 44 countries will meet in El Salvador to discuss the digital economy and bitcoin. This was announced by the President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele.

"32 central banks and 12 financial institutions(total representatives of 44 countries) will meet in El Salvador and discuss financial inclusion, the digital economy, financial services for people who do not have access to banking services, implementation and its benefits in El Salvador,” Bukele said.

Among the participants of the meeting:Paraguay, Ghana, Namibia, Madagascar, Jordan, Honduras, Maldives, Pakistan, Costa Rica, Ecuador and others. The Bitcoin Beach Twitter account also wrote on May 13 that representatives of Armenia, Egypt, India, Senegal and other countries are flying to El Salvador.
