Public sale of crypto smartphone Solana Saga will begin in May

Solana introduced its Saga cryptocurrency smartphone last year, and the start of public sales of the novelty is scheduled for May 8th. Smartphones on pre-orders have already begun to be sent out.

The smartphone is manufactured by OSOM.It has 512GB of storage, a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and 12GB of RAM. There is also a fingerprint sensor and the latest version of Android OS is installed.

This is a line of proprietary add-ons from the developers of Solana that allow you to integrate support for cryptocurrencies and use hardware security elements for wallets. It also allows developers to quickly and securely store, send, and receive digital assets.

Engineers have provided a special chip that is separate from the rest of the smartphone storage and is designed to securely store private keys from the user's wallet.

Also in the application there is a special "storedecentralized applications”, through which users get access to various cryptocurrency applications. Now there are about a dozen different DApps that cover various areas of the industry - digital asset trading, NFT storage and exchange, listening to music on decentralized platforms, and more.

Last year, HTC released a smartphone with support for non-fungible tokens and the metaverse.
