Polkadot launches anti-scam reward program

The Polkadot team launched the programto combat fraud Anti-Scam Bounty to improve the security of its ecosystem, within which participants are offered cash rewards.

As part of the program, community membersPolkadot finds fraudulent sites, fake social media profiles, and phishing apps masquerading as Polkadot, and protects Discord servers from hacker attacks. The list of tasks includes creating training materials for users, as well as developing a special Anti-Scam toolbar to protect against fraud in the Polkadot ecosystem.

Each task is supervised by memberscommunities that interact with implementers and offer ideas to more effectively achieve results. Users receive a certain reward for their efforts. The program is currently led by three curators from the Polkadot community and two employees from the Web3 Foundation.

Initiatives to improve security andVulnerability detection programs are launched by many cryptocurrency projects. So, last year, after the hacking of the Poly Network, the creators of the network announced a program to find bugs in the code for a total of $500,000. Before the activation of the Altair hard fork, the developers of Ethereum 2.0 organized a similar program.

Let us recall that in October, the Web3 Foundation and the international educational platform edX launched courses on the basic principles of blockchain on the Polkadot platform.
