Plustoken cryptocurrency pyramid organizers move 13,000 BTC to mixers

Evidence has emerged that the organizers of the Plustoken cryptocurrency scheme moved 13,000 BTC into mixers.Entered the BTC market put additional pressure on the course.

New facts indicate that the nexta batch of BTC related to the PlusToken fraudulent scheme was sent to the mixers. ErgoBTC researchers reported on March 7 that 13,000 BTC were sent to mixers from wallets associated with PlusToken managers.

Nearly 12,000 BTC from Wallets Last MonthPlusToken have been transferred to unknown addresses. Fraudsters may have been preparing to sell them, as the price of bitcoin was growing at that moment. If the organizers of the scheme successfully conducted fraudulently obtained bitcoins through mixers, they will throw large sums into the market, already weakened by the panic on the stock exchanges.

Previous Attempts to Mix PlusToken Toolswere unsuccessful, as analysts quickly tracked them through the mixing services. Fraudsters withdraw funds through cryptocurrency exchanges, for example, Huobi.

As CipherTrace reported last month,retail and institutional cryptocurrency investors in Asia lost about $ 3 billion after closing the PlusToken wallet, which turned out to be a financial pyramid. Chinese authorities arrested six people suspected of involvement in this scheme.

In December, the organizers of the cryptocurrency pyramidPlusToken moved around $ 100 million on air. According to CipherTrace, as of December 2019, pyramid managers had already sold 25,000 BTC, but they still had 20,000 BTC at their disposal, which were distributed to more than 8,700 addresses.
