Penza law enforcement officers opened a criminal case on the fact of fraud — a resident of Penza translatedto attackers 625 thousand rubles, who promised him earnings through cryptocurrencies. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Penza region.
According to the victim, in September 2019 an unknown person called him, offering to earn on cryptocurrency. The attacker promised that the Penza will begin to receive income after the sale of bitcoins.
«On the website where the citizen registered his account, he saw a message about receiving income in the amount of $25 thousand, but he cannot withdraw it», —the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
At the moment, law enforcement officers establish those involved in fraud.
Earlier, a resident of Sol-Iletsk was the victim of a fraudulent website advertising cryptocurrency brokerage services.
