Pakistan plans to build two state-owned mining farms

Pakistani government wants to open two mining farms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The regional administration approved a pilota program to attract investments through the infrastructure of cryptocurrency mining. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities are planning to build two mining farms that will receive cheap electricity from nearby hydroelectric power plants. The project budget is still unknown.

Pakistan has already formed a special committee on cryptocurrency policy, which will develop the necessary additions and amendments to thelegislation for the legalization of this field of activity.

According to the provincial government adviser onscience and technology of Zii Ulla Bangasha, investors have been asking for some time to invest in the development of mining infrastructure in the region. As a result, the authorities were interested in this idea, since the project will have a positive impact on the economy of the region as a whole.
