Ontario regulator warns investors about the risks of working with KuCoin and other platforms

Ontario Securities Commission(OSC) warned investors that 13 cryptocurrency platforms do not have a license to operate in the province. The KuCoin exchange was also included in the list.

The regulator emphasizes that investorsIt is necessary to check companies before investing. To do this, the OSC website has both a list of registered companies offering investments and a special service with which you can check the company.

In addition to two legal entities belonging toKuCoin exchange, the list included platforms DGTL Trade, 24xForex, Cryptos-Circus, Cryptos-Seed, Binexo, KubCoin, Phoenixfin, Globals XTrade and Interactive Global.

"Residents of the Province of Ontario, to whomcontacted by the persons or companies listed above, or any other unregistered company, it is recommended to contact the OSC contact center,” the warning emphasizes.

Previously, the Ontario regulator had already paid attention to the operation of the KuCoin platform. In June, the OSC fined the KuCoin and Bybit exchanges for failing to comply with securities laws.
