Shopify added support for Avalanche

News broke on January 6 that e-commerce giant Shopify will provide the ability for its customers to issue non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Avalanche blockchain.

Shopify launched its ownNFT marketplace as early as the end of 2021. Initially, users could issue tokens based on Ethereum, Flow, and Polygon. Now Avalanche is added to the list of these networks.

“The Venly Shopify NFT App providesusers a wonderful opportunity to participate in Web3 e-commerce regardless of their technical knowledge. As a blockchain that is very fast, low cost and green, Avalanche was the clear choice for us to provide businesses with a great NFT sales solution,” said Venly CEO Tim Dirkssens.

Partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

On January 11, it was revealed that the AWS Cloud Computing Platform will work with Ava Labs to drive greater adoption of blockchain technology by businesses, institutions, and governments.

Through partnerships, developers will be able to more easilyrun and manage nodes on the Avalanche blockchain as AWS will support the Avalanche infrastructure and decentralized applications (dApps). The collaboration also includes Ava Labs joining AWS Activate, expanding the benefits of AWS Credits for developers in the Avalanche ecosystem.

In addition, Ava Labs and AWS will collaborate on events for entrepreneurs and developers such as the Avalanche Summit, Avalanche Creates, and hackathons.
