National digital currencies of central banks will appear in 3 years

According to Deutsche Bank analyst Marion Labour, tokens will begin to appear on the market over the next three yearscentral banks (CBDC).

The global coronavirus pandemic is accelerating the process of digitalization of the financial sector. The expert told Reuters about this.

Central Banks Alliance, which includes regulatorsThe European Union, Canada, England, Switzerland and Japan will become the main institution for the implementation of the plan to launch regulated digital currencies and create the appropriate infrastructure.

The project participant is also the Bank for International Settlements. A group of Central Banks from developed countries will become a kind of think tank when implementing the plan for the transition to CBDC, said an analyst at Deutsche Bank.

Labour also told reporters that this month(it is still unknown in what format) a meeting of representatives of regulators will take place. They will discuss the conditions for the introduction of tokens and work out issues related to the regulation of relations between holders of CBDC.

Among European countries, Sweden and France stand out, which last year announced their intention to complete testing of their tokens by the end of 2020.
