Media: Pavel Durov will return 72% of the funds to American investors Telegram Open Network

Telegram Open Network (TON) investors received a new letter from Pavel Durov’s team. American investors will get 72% backfunds and will not leave the opportunity to get 110% in a year, reports The Bell, citing informed sources.

Telegram argued the decision with the uncertain position of US regulators.

According to ForkLog, most Russian TON investors agreed to the deal and are ready to wait until April 30, 2021 to receive either Gram tokens or 110% of the investment.

One such investor is Qiwi co-founder Sergey Solonin, who invested $ 17 million in TON. In a conversation with ForkLog, he said that technology was more important to him than potential profit.

He also believes that the launch of TON by the community will not be as popular as if Durov did it.

Recall, the largest PoS validators, including Ton Labs and P2P.org, have signed a declaration of intent to launch the TON network if the Durov team does not.
