The Ministry of Economy is developing regulation of the non-fungible token (NFT) market. To protect thempurchasers are invited to amendCivil Code (CC) of the Russian Federation and the law "On Digital Financial Assets". Legislation on the protection of intellectual property for the NFT has already been proposed by deputies from the New People party. However, market participants fear that the proposed changes may narrow the functionality of the tokens.
It is proposed to establish the legal status of NFTs,to clarify the possibility of issuing a token, its regulation and circulation, the protection of purchasers of tokens from re-issuance and other issues, clarified Kommersant in the Ministry of Economy.
NFT market participants themselves are wary of the idea of changing its regulation.
