Mark Cuban: Bitcoin Can't Become a Full Currency

Billionaire Mark Cuban said on the Defiant podcast that he doesn't believein Bitcoin's Ability to Become Full-Fledgedcurrency. He considers digital gold to be a store of value, not payment.

Investor named the current fiat system"Untenable and unstable", but doubted its collapse. In his opinion, countries should create their own digital currencies due to the high costs of issuing conventional money.

The emergence of smart contracts has become a pivotalmoment for the cryptocurrency industry, said the billionaire. The future belongs to them and decentralized finance, so Ethereum wins over Bitcoin, Cuban concluded.

Earlier, he stated that the decentralized finance and non-fungible token segments have huge potential for the next 10 years.

In January 2021, the billionaire expressed confidence in Bitcoin's ability to break through a market bubble like Amazon, eBay and Priceline during the dot-com boom.
