Libra Association formed a team of technical committee leaders

The Libra Association organization, which will manage the operation of the Libra cryptocurrency blockchain from the social network Facebook,formed a team of leaders of the technical committee. It is reported by Coindesk.

The list of managers includes:

  1. Co-founder of custodial services provider Anchorage Diogo Monica;
  2. Calibra Crypto Wallet Project Manager George Cabrera III;
  3. Bison Trails startup blockchain founder Joe Lalluz;
  4. Union Square Ventures venture fund partner Nick Grossman;
  5. Mercy Corps Humanitarian Technology Director Rick Shreves.

Heads of the committee will coordinate workspecialists aimed at creating the Libra network, oversee the development of the code base and the association of the crypto project developer community. In 2019, part of the technical staff of Facebook was transferred to the state of a subsidiary of Calibra. Among them were David Marcus (former head of the blockchain department) and Ben Maurer (lead programmer).

The team of managers of the committee is goingpublish a document on the blockchain management system until the end of March 2020. It will describe the procedure for making proposals on the implementation of technical innovations in the Libra network and the procedure for evaluating their effectiveness. Initially, Facebook planned to launch the blockchain by the middle of this year, however, American and French officials demanded to suspend the development of the project, so the cryptocurrency release date may be delayed indefinitely.
