KuCoin launches its own crypto wallet

Cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin is expanding its presence in the Web3 ecosystem with the decentralized KuCoin Wallet platform.

Wallet platform is still available
only for the browser, however, as promisedcompany, a mobile application is already in development and will be launched in June. The platform connects to the KuCoin ecosystem and provides cross-cloud integration. Exchange clients will be able to buy, sell, exchange and send all major digital currencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and the stablecoin Tether (USDT).

The wallet is non-custodial, sousers will manage their own keys. As the KuCoin ecosystem continues to introduce and support decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible token (NFT) functionality, the KuCoin Wallet roadmap will include the addition of these services as well as GameFi.

KuCoin's own Windvane platform willsupport some of these features - users will be able to trade and view NFTs in the wallet. In April, Windvane launched a $100 million Web3 developer fund to help support early-stage NFT projects, says crypto exchange CEO Johnny Lyu:

“Cryptocurrency wallets aredoor to the Web3 world, therefore important for users wishing to participate in the decentralized ecosystem. They have evolved into something more than just a digital asset storage tool. The launch of the KuCoin wallet demonstrates our determination to join the Web3 space.”

Earlier, the Romanian division of the cryptocurrency exchange Coingrig reported that it would integrate its crypto wallet into the Nordigen platform to simplify user access to assets.
