Japanese bank MUFG will offer services across the metaverse

Japan's largest bank, MUFG, which manages $3.3 trillion in assets, is opening a division in the metaverse to attract a younger audience and introduce them to the bank's work.

MUFG has entered into a partnership with ANAHoldings, which is developing its own metaverse platform. ANA's Granwhale platform, scheduled to launch in 2023, is a 3D world in which the company's customers will be able to create their own avatars and interact with various stores.

ANA partners will open in the metaverseown branches. Among them is the Japanese insurance company Sompo Japan, which will offer users insurance against possible losses associated with transactions in the metaverse. MUFG plans to offer almost a complete range of financial services to its clients within the metaverse.

The goal of this initiative is simple - to attractaudience. MUFG intends to introduce young people to the specifics of its work, introduce them to the history of the company and the services it provides. The company's management believes that the metaverse is the ideal tool for this.

Earlier, Japan's largest mobile operator NTT Docomo partnered with multi-chain smart contract platform Astar Network to accelerate the adoption of Web3 in the country.
